It's finally here! A completely revised Easy WP Guide! Check out the WordPress 3.8 goodness, with all new screenshots showcasing the refreshed User Interface that was released with this latest version of the world's most popular content management system.

The recent WordPress 3.8 release bought with it some great new features. The first thing you'll notice when you update is this brand new User Interface I mentioned. Everything within the Dashboard has been given a fresh new look. The interface is clean and modern and with the new Open Sans typeface, it provides simple, friendly and easy to read text that's optimized for print, web, and mobile interfaces. The newly redesigned vector-based icons scale to your screen, so not only do they look sharp, they're fast to load also.

The new Themes screen gives you a much better layout of all your themes. Need more information? Just click on one to get all the details. Working with widgets is now much easier as well, with the redesigned Widgets page. No longer do you need to make sure your sidebar is expanded before you drag a widget across. Simply drag ‘n drop on any closed sidebar and they'll automatically open.

Sick of the boring old blue and grey dashboard colour schemes that have been around for years? Yeah, they were getting pretty tired, weren't they! Well, WordPress 3.8 gives you 8 gorgeous new colour schemes to choose from. You can check them all out in your user profile page.

There's also a brand new default theme, Twenty Fourteen. It's a beautiful magazine style theme that I think you'll love. If you're interested in taking a look at it, you can bring up the Live Preview window within your Dashboard. You can also check out the short screencast I created recently, which shows you some of the great new features with this new default theme.

This updated WordPress manual has been reviewed from top to bottom, with several chapters being completely rewritten to take into account the new workflow and features that were introduced in WordPress 3.8. Covering 123 pages, over 18,6oo words, more than 165 brand new images and countless hours of love and attention, I think you'll see that it was worth the wait.

So, why wait any longer! Head on over to the download page or if you want to get stuck straight into it, read it online. The ePub & Mobipocket versions in the Apple iBookstore, B&N Nook Books Store and the Amazon Kindle store have also been updated, but it'll take a few days for those to appear. I’ll update the links to those new mobile optimised versions as they become available.

Enjoy!
